Munaco 1603 is an interbraid that is manufactured from proprietary synthetic fibers that are saturated and sealed with PTFE, which helps to isolate the packing from chemical reactivity.  A lubricant is added to munaco 1603 for easy break-in and applications such as rotating and recipricating pumps and agitators.  munaco 1603 is recommended for mild acids, air, gases, solvents, oils, and general service chemical plant applications.
